This morning your cruise ship will arrive in Whittier at approximately 7:00am. You will have time for breakfast onboard the ship. Please disembark the ship and clear US customs by 9:15am so that you will be ready to board your waiting motorcoach. Departure time is at 9:45am.

Sit back, relax, and leave the driving to someone else! Your journey will begin by traveling through one of the longest tunnels in North America, the Anton Anderson tunnel, then passing through Portage. From there you will travel the Seward Highway and along Turnagain Arm. At approximately Noon you will arrive at the Dena'ina Civic Center. There are restaurants within walking distance. Passengers will re-board the motorcoach at approximately 2:45pm, for a 3:00pm departure, continuing north to Denali Park. This portion of the trip travels along the George Parks Highway and, weather permitting, features some of the best views of Denali. You will appreciate the comfortable seating, generous legroom, and large picture windows of the custom motorcoach. Your knowledgeable driver/guide will offer tour highlights along the way.

Arrival time is approximately 8:30pm to Denali Park Village. The hotel is nestled along the banks of the Nenana River. Spread over 20 acres, your lodge offers light hiking and interpretive trails and for the more adventurous, there are more rugged trails located near the property entrance.

The new 15,375 square foot Summit Lodge building is a focal point of the hotel and houses all guest services. It features a high-timber lodge look, complete with fireplace and comfortable seating in the lobby area. The Summit Lodge also offers Denali National Park & Preserve interpretive messaging and is home to the Gold Rush Dining Room, Lucky Miss Saloon, Quigley’s Coffee Station, Summit Gift Shop and 24-hour concierge desk. There is outdoor seating on a deck overlooking the Nenana River with a fire pit and breathtaking views of the Alaskan wilderness.

Proceed to Park Tour Service Desk where you will be given your exact pick-up point and departure time for tomorrow's Tundra Wilderness Tour.

May 20th
